Martin del Gato is the director of operations at FunJungle, and he is a big challenge for Teddy to overcome. She is also very smart, having bought the clothes off some girl (yes,really) at one point in time to ditch her "shadows" (people who make sure she is "safe" at FunJungle.) Unlike many famous people, Summer is modest, humble, and unconceited. Summer McKracken is the daughter of JJ McKracken, the guy who built FunJungle, and she helps Teddy find Henry's killer. He finds out Henry is dead because he snuck into the autopsy, wanting to see what was happening. Teddy also lives at the park, so he has a very easy way to gain access to the biggest theme zoo in A merica.
Teddy's biggest interaction with the book are that he is the main detective since he, along with Summer McKracken, tries to find out who killed Henry the Hippo. He still was bored, so he decided to help the animals defend themselves with human toys (water balloons) from the rulebreakers. Teddy's family comes from the African Congo, and they moved to FunJungle to make Teddy feel like he was in a safari.
He is also the narrator, and he is an EXTREME animal lover. Teddy Fitzroy is the main character in Belly Up.
